Mom's Shawl

I finally got a picture of mom wearing her shawl. I made it with Noro Kureyon Sock yarn and the All Shawl pattern. I love both! I could have made the entire long version with one skein, but was afraid I would run out of yarn so I left out a couple of rows. I have heard some people complain about working with Noro, but it is one of my favorite yarns. The color changes are really beautiful. The yarn is a silk wool blend, but to me looks and feels like linen. It is not the softest stuff, but the colors make up for that to me.

Lovely lady and beautiful shawl. The colors just seem to flow into one another. Good job!

I love Noro yarns too! It's really fun to see the color changes and I like the more organic feel of them.

I am in the process of finishing the all shawl in Noro Silk Garden sock yarn and ran out of yarn in the last row of the border. Now I am thinking of frogging the whole border and two rows and then doing the border over. I am just wondering though how much the shawl will grow when I block the noro yarn? How many rows is the one you made for your mother? It is beautiful. I can see that Noro has addicting properties.

Jls, I did the short version and left off maybe two rows because I was worried that I would run out. I ended up with extra yarn. However, I didn't want to have to leave off any of the lace pattern. The lace especially grows a lot after blocking. You can see a picture of it before blocking here:
