Inaugural Airstream Camping Trip
So, I'm finally getting around to blogging about the airstream. My folks found this beauty a couple of months ago. It is in great shape for its age. We had our first outing in May for Mother's Day/ Mom's 60th birthday. We camped at Mckinney Falls State Park in Austin, which was gorgeous. The weather was perfect and we had lots of great guests and meals.
On the same day that Dad called to tell me about purchasing the airstream I read a story about a local artist named Paige Davidson in Indulge magazine. I am really interested in her paintings and love her style. The airstream series is especially intriguing to me. Here is one of my favorites.

Custom Opal Bracelet
I've met some really interesting people on Etsy. A great lady found me and she must be an incredible rock hound. She lives in Japan and sent me this amazing slab of opal to work with. She only requested that it be similar to my Floating Rock Cuff. Considering the size of the opal I suggested it look closer to a bracelet I had made previously. She was so generous, she sent me a whole goody bag of other rocks to keep for myself. Well, here is what I came up with. I was nervous to drill her opal, but all went well. I tube riveted two green onyx and one chrysophrase cabochon onto the opal and set it all in sterling silver. The bezel setting is also tube riveted onto the cuff bracelet. What an exciting project. Thanks Pipi, I hope you are enjoying your bracelet!
