I first discovered the Babette blanket on the Purl Bee blog. Searching flickr inspired me further, check out all these lovely Babettes in different stages of creation. For more inspiration check out the Babette Blanket pool on flickr.
So, I am now planning to make my own Babette.
This will be a big undertaking for me as I am still new to
crocheting. I like that it is made in sections, that makes the task
seem a little less daunting.
Thanks to Sara1rene on flickr I discovered Cascade 220 yarn which comes in a wonderful array of colors. Check out my choices to the right. You can find this yarn on Alpaca Direct's website.
I haven't purchased the yarn yet, but hope to do so soon. I am really excited about this project!
